What are the Government Exams and Jobs that Match Your Skills?

Are you trying to prepare for all government jobs? Then, This is the first step of your failure. Different jobs require a different set of skills. At the same time, preparing for a single job is also difficult. So You should choose government exams and jobs that match your skills based on Your Aptitude (i.e. capacity to do) and Attitude (i.e. Willingness to do).

How to Identify Jobs that Match Skills?

For example, you want to become an IAS officer. Then you should choose UPSC Civil Services. If you prepare for only UPSC Civil Services, success chances are less because it is the toughest examination in India. However, if you also write your state civil services exams (Group I, Group II, Group III, Group IV, etc.,) your success chances are more. But it is not difficult to study for both UPSC and State PSC as 90% of the syllabus is the same. Once you are through any one exam, then you can prepare for your dream job. This strategy is helpful if you are from an economically disadvantaged group.

On the other hand, If you are studying for UPSC Civil Services and SSC CGLE, then you may not succeed in any of them. Civil Services Exam requires an in-depth analysis of socio-economic problems with medium pace writing skills. But your speed and memory power are more helpful for SSC CGLE or Bank exams. Both are different. Both exams use different parts of the Brain – One uses analytical power and another uses memory power. So you should first identify your skills and then study accordingly.
