Which Language or Medium Should I Choose for Writing any Government Exams?

When it comes to competitive exams or government exams, students confuse which medium they should choose. Many have a negative impression that the English medium would fetch more marks. If you are also thinking the same, it is your myth! The medium of the exam does not fetch more marks. It’s your preparation and preparedness that fetches marks.

Though many Indians are studying in English medium, yet many students from rural or even urban areas study in regional language. At least most of the students study in their mother tongue up to Class X or XII. But this is not a hindrance for you. Many factors need to be considered before choosing a medium of study

  • Command of the Medium of Language : Average skills is more than sufficient to clear the exam.
  • Books Availability : Many students have chosen regional languages and succeeded. They read English books and English newspapers when the material is not available in Telugu. Then they translated them into Telugu. You can use Google Translator to convert material from English to regional languages.
  • Writing Speed : If you are able to write answers within the stipulated time in any medium, then your choice of medium is fine.
  • Confidence : This matters most. Without confidence, nothing can be achieved.

Finally, you should choose the medium of study based on your strengths and weaknesses. Do not choose English or Telugu or Hindi or any other regional language based on someone else's advice.
