Andhra Pradesh Leave Rules : Casual Leave
Casual Leave is a concession to Government servants in special circumstances to be absent from duty for short period with proper authorization. It is treated as a duty. The following rules are in force to avail a casual leave.
- Maximum period of casual leave that can be availed of in a calender year is only 15 days. The unavailed part of leave will lapse at the close of the calender year.
- Now, all women employees can utilize 20 casual leaves. The government extended the benefit of availing five (5) days casual leave in addition to the (15) days casual leave and (5) days optional holidays per calendar year to all the Women employees working under the control of the State Government of Andhra Pradesh. - Period of Casual Leave should not exceed 10 days, including prefix and suffix in a single instance. (Casual leave may be combined with optional holidays of Sundays or other authorised public holidays provided the resulting period of absence does not exceed 10 days.)
- A Grant of half-day Casual Leave (FN or AN) is allowed. (G.O.Ms.No.112 Fin. Dt.3.6.1966).
