Andhra Pradesh Leave Rules : Special Casual Leave

The following are the purposes for which special casual leave may be granted to a Government servant viz. When he is detained in a plague camp on the way to rejoin duty, When he is ordered by the Head of the department to absent himself from duty on the certificate of medical officer and other reasons as specified below. These are granted for specific purposes and for specific days. These can be prefixed or suffixed to regular leave or C.L.

1 Donation of Blood 2 days. One day on the date of donation. Another to be utilized within six months (G.O.No.137, Dt.23.2.84.)
2 Summons to give witness in a court As per the certificate of in which his private interest is not in issue As per the certificate of attendance
  Family Planning Leave for 2nd operation is permissible when the doctor certifies that the first operation was a failure. Additional special CL beyond the below limits can be given on account of post-operation complications subject to production of MC. The special CL for FP operation can be prefixed or suffixed to regular leave /CL.
3 Male – Vasectomy (1st & 2nd) 6 Working Days
4 Female -Tubectomy (1st & 2nd) 14 Working Days
5 Male – Tubectomy of Wife (1st & 2nd) 7 Days
6 Insertion of Contraceptives 1 Day on the day of IUD insertion
7 Recanalisation (Both) 21 days or the actual period as per the certificate whichever is less plus to and fro journey days, if the operation is necessary as he is having less than 2 children or lost all his male children after operation.
8 Hysterectomy Operation 45 Days
9 For Teachers (G.O. Ms.No.47, Dt.19.2.1965) 7 Days
  Recreation and Adventure  
10 For Participating in Sporting Events 30 Days
11 Principal Office Bearers of Recognized Service
Associations		 21 Days
12 To participate in Rallies, Camps, etc., Organized by AP Bharat Scouts and Guides 10 Days
13 Elected President and Secretary of National
Sports Bodies		 15 Days
14 AP Secretariat Cultural Association Members For Dramas 6 Days
15 Members of Institutions Engineers For attending annual Meeting at Hyderabad — 7 Days
For attending the annual convention to any part of the country – 10 Days
